An open web steel joist bears on a wide flange beam with the joist seat extending two inches past the beam centerline. Continuous blocking is provided between the joists per details twenty-two and twenty-one on sheet S5.1. The metal roof deck laps one inch on the beam centerline with diaphragm edge welding per general notes. Field welding is specified at two locations at six inches each side.
