A steel stair stringer bears onto a concrete slab on grade and finish grade. The connection utilizes an L3x3x1/4 angle secured with three-quarter-inch diameter by eight-inch expansion anchor bolts at each stringer, typically. The stringer is welded to the angle with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld on three sides as shown. The slab on grade thickens at the stringer as sized per plan.
