The cold-formed steel joist seats into a continuous track attached to a header member sized per plan. A clip angle, as specified in other details, secures the joist to the track. Two number 10 screws are installed at each joist connection to the header. The joist must be set tight into the track with a maximum allowable gap of one-eighth inch.
