A gusset plate welds to a hollow structural section column and a wide flange beam at the work point. The buckling restrained brace, provided by others, connects to the gusset plate via a bolted connection. Verify the gusset plate to column weld with the brace manufacturer. Determine wide flange beam and hollow structural section column sizes per the structural plans.
