Angle braces measuring three inches by three inches by one-quarter inch are welded to the steel beam with three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds at each joist typically. Angle braces are to be welded to the beam after the roof is installed, coordinated with sprinkler pipes, and located no further than six inches from the top chord panel point unless an auxiliary web is installed.
