This connection detail joins a sloped steel beam to a supporting steel beam utilizing a quarter-inch bent plate welded with quarter-inch fillet welds. A metal roof deck bears over the top flange of the steel members, with the top of steel coordinated per architectural drawings. An additional bent plate detail connects to the supporting beam flange with a bolted or welded configuration specified elsewhere. Fillet welds of quarter-inch size secure the bent plate components to the structural steel framing.
