A steel beam and an open-web steel joist frame into a supporting steel girder carrying a metal roof deck. The steel beam features a bolted web connection sized by beam depth, requiring two bolts for W14, three bolts for W16 and W18, four bolts for W21, and five bolts for W24 sections. The supporting steel girder includes full-height web stiffener plates on each side at the connection point. Metal roof deck bears across the top chords of the structural framing members.
