A concrete beam frames into a slab on grade with specified reinforcing steel. The concrete beam section includes stirrups per schedule, top bars, bottom bars, top added bars, and bottom added bars, with member width and depth sized per schedule. For sections with a depth greater than thirty inches, number five bars are placed each face. A slab on grade connects at the top of the beam and is sized per plan.
