A steel beam connects to a support via a one-inch thick by eleven-inch wide A572-50 steel end plate. Four one-inch diameter by three and three-quarter inch long F1852SC structural bolts fasten the assembly with five-inch horizontal spacing and a combination of two-and-a-half inch and three-inch vertical spacings. Five-sixteenths inch fillet welds secure the end plate to the members on three sides.
