A concrete slab is poured over steel decking running perpendicular to supporting steel beams. Welded studs are attached to the top flange of the beams as required, with additional number three reinforcing bars at six feet zero inches on center for deep beams and cantilevers. A fourteen gauge continuous bent plate edge form creates the slab edge with a two-foot maximum cantilever and a half-inch top return. A continuous number three bar is wired to the studs to support welded wire fabric or reinforcement, maintaining specified clearances of one inch to the fabric and three-quarters of an inch to the rebar. Minimum bearing requirements include three inches at end supports and two inches at intermediate locations.
