A 362S162-43 cold-formed metal stud kicker is installed at thirty-two inches on center to provide lateral bracing. The kicker attaches to the underside of the metal deck using a four-by-four-by-fifty-four mil plate, which is secured to the deck with four number twelve screws. The lower end of the kicker connects to the vertical metal stud wall assembly using four number twelve screws. The wall assembly includes metal studs, clips, and soffit studs, with the vertical framing positioned adjacent to a wide-flange beam sized per plan. A slab edge angle is provided at the interface between the topping slab on metal deck and the perimeter wall.
