A bolted lug buckling-restrained brace connection frames into a weak-axis column and beam intersection at the roof level. A full-height gusset plate connects to the structural members, supplemented by stiffener plates on each side of the gusset matching the width and thickness of the beam flange. Additional stiffener plates are provided as required by the buckling-restrained brace manufacturer. The brace attaches via a bolted lug connection centered on the work point.
