Two aligned steel beams connect through a vertical shear tab welded to the supporting member web and bolted to the supported beam web. The connection utilizes rows of bolts sized and spaced per schedule, with edge distances conforming to AISC specifications. The shear tab thickness, number of bolts, and tab welding are determined by the connection schedule unless noted otherwise on plan. Additional bolt rows are provided to match the primary row count.
