A galvanized steel pipe roof anchor with a stainless steel "U" bar is installed at a low deck flute through the composite deck and welded directly to the supporting steel beam sized per plan. The anchor accommodates a maximum outside diameter of four and a half inches and is rated for a one thousand pound working load and a five thousand pound ultimate load with a height that varies up to two feet maximum. Two number five bars measuring twenty feet long run perpendicular to the beam at top and bottom, while two number five bars measuring eight feet long run parallel to the beam. The metal deck is cut around the pipe to allow direct welding to the structural beam.
