A roof davit base is centered above a structural steel framing assembly comprising parallel C12x25 channels oriented and located to clear roof drains where they occur. The working point is defined at the centerline of the davit base above, positioned between 10 inches minimum and 2 feet 0 inches maximum verified with the davit manufacturer typically. Supporting wide-flange beams are sized per plan and tied into the channel assembly with bolted connections. Overall framing dimensions and vertical clearances are coordinated with the roof assembly.
