A concrete ramp transition features a dropped beam supporting the slab edge at the ramp break location. Beam top and bottom reinforcing, as well as stirrup sizes and spacing, are sized per the concrete beam schedule. The beam depth is also determined by the schedule, while the exact ramp break location is defined on the architectural or structural plans.
