A reinforced concrete stem wall bears on a continuous concrete footing measuring two feet six inches wide by one foot four inches deep, reinforced with three number five bars top and bottom continuously and number three ties at sixteen inches on center. Number four dowels at sixteen inches on center tie the stem wall to the footing, matching the vertical reinforcement of the stem wall. The eight-inch thick stem wall features number seven bars at twelve inches on center on the exterior face and number five bars at twelve inches on center on the interior face, alongside number four horizontal reinforcement at sixteen inches on center each face. Waterproofing is applied to the exterior face per architectural specifications.
