A concrete slab on metal deck bears on a structural steel beam, with a cold-formed steel wall aligned near the slab edge. A bent plate connects the wall assembly, referenced to sheet S5.21. A continuous L7x4x3/8 angle supports the veneer, secured with fillet welds sized at five-sixteenths of an inch. An L4x4x3/8 angle with a horizontal long slotted hole attaches the assembly with quarter-inch fillet welds, permitting adjustment. A stabilizing L3x3 brace connects to the steel beam similar to detail 2 on sheet S5.05.
