A buckling restrained brace connects to a wide flange frame beam using a gusset plate welded beneath the bottom flange. Stiffener plates are installed inside the beam web as required by the brace manufacturer specifications and approved shop drawings. A concrete fill over metal deck sits above the framing where indicated on the plan. Perpendicular framing beams frame into the web with connections detailed elsewhere.
