A steel column bears on a steel base plate set over one and a half inches of non-shrink grout atop a concrete foundation and stem wall. Anchor bolts secure the base plate into the concrete foundation below. Continuous stem wall reinforcement extends around the column base, with a concrete pour back adjacent to the concrete slab on grade.
