A structural steel beam frames into a wide-flange column web using shear plates and bolts sized per schedule. A one-half-inch top and bottom plate connects the assembly, with a one-half-inch cap plate welded to the column flanges. Five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds secure the flanges and web unless noted otherwise. Two rows of bolts are provided where indicated, maintaining a minimum edge distance of two times the bolt diameter.
