A continuous metal track is anchored to the existing concrete slab using point-driven shot pins at sixteen inches on center. Metal studs are secured to the track at each flange with number eight screws. Gypsum board finishes attach directly to the track and framing assembly. At full height walls, the bottom track requires a minimum eighteen gauge thickness.
