This connection features two hollow structural section braces and a horizontal hollow structural section beam framing into a wide-flange column. The braces are attached to the column using three-quarter-inch thick gusset plates, with each brace secured by six three-quarter-inch diameter A325N bolts. The gusset plates are welded to the column with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds, while the brace-to-gusset connections utilize varying weld sizes including three-sixteenth-inch and one-quarter-inch fillet welds. A separate beam connection is provided at the column face, with additional details referenced on sheet 5/S-43004. A minimum clearance of one-half inch is maintained between the brace and the column flange, and the column flange is shown cut for clarity.
