A bond beam wall connects at the underside of a concrete slab on a steel deck edge, maintaining a typical top of wall gap. A continuous L4x3x5/16 inch angle supports the deck edge, secured with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds at each end of the angle to the plate. A minimum one-quarter inch bent or fabricated plate is anchored with E90 one-quarter inch welds. Reinforcement consists of number four bars at eighteen inches minimum and number four by one foot six inch Grade 60 A706 dowel bars spaced at twelve inches with a three-quarter inch clear cover.
