Floor joist per plan connects to an existing steel channel equipped with a shaped wood web filler. The steel channel is anchored into the existing wall assembly using three-quarter-inch epoxy threaded rod anchors. Holes are drilled in the existing channel, with torched holes permitted provided they are reamed round and smooth to thirteen-sixteenths of an inch in diameter.
