A structural steel roof deck bears on a wide-flange beam positioned adjacent to a vertical steel stud wall. An edge angle ties the roof deck and beam back to the cold-formed steel studs via a Simpson SCB45.5 clip secured with two screws and three stainless steel powder-actuated fasteners into the steel substrate. The clip is field-welded if the powder-actuated fasteners fail to fully seat into the steel. Bridging is installed within the steel stud framing per structural details.
