A skewed glulam beam connects to a supporting glulam girder using Grade 50 steel plates measuring one-half inch by eight inches and one-half inch by nine inches. The connection utilizes complete joint penetration welds for the steel plate assembly. The skewed glulam beam maintains a specific bearing width and center-line layout relative to the supporting glulam girder.
