A structural steel stair landing outrigger is framed to an HSS10x10 post located inside an elevator shaft, supported by top and bottom L4x4x1/2-inch bearing angles welded to the tube post. The cantilevered landing incorporates an L3x3x1/4-inch outrigger welded to the face of an L5x5 angle, with an L5x5x5/16-inch continuous angle between the stringers. A continuous L3x3x1/4-inch ledger angle runs at the landing with L3x3x1/4-inch stiffeners provided at 2 feet 6 inches on center. All connections utilize typical fillet welds as specified by standard structural details.
