A thickened slab edge for a trash enclosure slab on grade features three continuous number four bars with a standard ninety-degree hook at the slab edge. The concrete slab on grade includes reinforcing sized per plan, alongside an exterior slab designed per civil drawings. The assembly maintains a three-inch clear cover around the reinforcing steel and incorporates number four bars spaced at six inches on center. The thickened section extends two feet in width and one foot six inches in depth with a sloped transition edge.
