Cold-formed metal framing connections for headers and jambs use tracks and studs sized per the stud wall schedule. The double stud header section features two rows of number ten screws at twelve inches on center attaching track to track, with an ordinary track and a matching flat member, secured by number ten screws at each stud and each flange. The header to jamb connection requires trimming the flat stud flanges and bending the web to attach to the full-height uncut jamb with two number ten screws on both sides. A one-inch typical clearance and a three-inch dimension govern the layout.
