A wide-flange beam connects to the flange of a wide-flange column using a connection plate bolted to both the beam web and the column flange. A full-depth stiffener plate is welded to the column flange directly below the beam bottom flange. The roof deck sits atop the beam and column, with a continuous edge angle installed over the column. Beam, column, deck, and plate sizes are determined by the structural plans and schedules.
