Hollow structural section members connect using structural angles and plates tailored to member depth. Connections feature seat angles configured as L4x4x3/8 by zero-foot-six inches for depths between four and six inches, and L6x6x3/8 by zero-foot-six inches for depths greater than six inches. Fillet welds of one-quarter inch size secure the angles and a three-eighths-inch plate to the hollow structural sections. Two-inch clearances and specific edge distances maintain proper alignment between intersecting members.
