A one-quarter-inch thick bent steel plate provides edge support for metal decking along a structural steel beam. The bent plate is welded with two-twelve welds and positioned with a typical three-inch horizontal dimension and four-inch maximum vertical dimension. The top of steel elevation is established per plan or elevation notes, maintaining a typical one-half-inch clearance from the beam edge.
