A steel bar joist bears onto a tilt-up concrete wall panel via an L5x3x1/4 inch by 1 foot long long-leg-horizontal bearing angle. The angle is centered on the bar joist and welded to an A53-12 type embed plate cast into the tilt-up wall panel. The connection is secured with a 1/8 inch fillet weld at 2 1/2 inch spacing, typical. Steel deck is installed over the joist, with deck sizing and layout determined per the structural plan. The top of the concrete panel and the deck bearing elevation are referenced to the panel elevation and structural plan respectively.
