A warning sign is mounted to each side of a special moment frame beam at the protected zone using a twenty-five gauge steel plate measuring one foot by eight inches. Connections that penetrate the steel surface, including bolts, holes, screws, shot pins, welds, and tack welds, are prohibited within the yellow-striped region. Text may be printed directly on the plate or on stickers affixed to both sides. Failure to comply with these requirements may cause the replacement of steel.
