An inclined hollow structural section column bears on a cross-laminated timber floor supported by a glulam beam below. A steel drag strap is secured to the cross-laminated timber floor using twenty 10x100 fasteners installed in pre-drilled holes with a 60mm minimum depth. Fillet welds join the column base assembly with specified sizing and spacing.
