A cold-formed steel kicker brace connects to a structural steel beam using a 1 1/2 inch by 6 inch by 97-mil angle clip measuring 0 feet 6 inches long, attached to either the web or the flange option. Four low-velocity fasteners or two number 12-24 Teks screws secure the clip to the beam flange or web. The kicker and its attachment are configured per section with the kicker centered on the working point. A maximum distance of 6 inches is maintained from the top of the beam to the upper working point.
