A metal stud track continuous under window openings bears on a concrete slab or concrete over metal deck. The metal stud track matches the size and gauge of the jamb studs. Track attachments at jamb studs are spaced with a three-inch minimum and nine-inch maximum. Each jamb stud connects to the track according to structural details. Track attachments are located equally on either side of the jamb where the track occurs on both sides.
