A vertical hollow structural section post connects to a one-half-inch by six-inch by one-foot four-inch embed plate using a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld on two sides. The embed plate is anchored to a concrete over metal deck slab with two one-half-inch diameter by three-and-one-half-inch welded studs field located so that the studs sit in the low flutes.
