An interior concrete masonry unit wall bears on a continuous concrete grade beam tied to an eight-inch slab on grade. The grade beam measures three feet square in section and is reinforced with three number six bars top and bottom, alongside number four ties spaced at twelve inches. Number four dowels at twelve inches on center anchor the masonry wall into the footing. The surrounding slab on grade maintains equal spacing from the central wall assembly.
