Cold-formed steel stud wall framed with studs spaced per the stud wall schedule, reinforced at the top with a diagonal kicker brace. The kicker consists of either a 600S162-54 section for exterior conditions or a 400S162-54 section for interior conditions spaced at four feet on center, alternating sides at interior walls with a minimum of two kickers per wall. The brace connects to the stud using four number ten screws, with two kickers provided at jambs and multiple studs placed one on each side. A strongback matching the kicker section is required when the brace length exceeds seven feet six inches, fastened with number ten screws at sixteen inches on center with the first screw six inches from the ends. Brace length is limited to a maximum of twelve feet with a maximum one-inch offset.
