A non-frame column rests on a base plate set over a one-and-a-half-inch typical grout layer atop a concrete foundation block-out. Anchor bolts specified per the schedule secure the base plate using double nuts and hardened washers. The bottom of the base plate aligns with the block-out surface, while the foundation mat depth extends nine inches to the bottom of the mat. One-half-inch by four-inch square plate washers are embedded typically at the lower end of the anchor bolts.
