These structural details illustrate steel column bases supported directly by a wide flange beam. The assembly incorporates a three-quarter-inch base plate secured with four three-quarter-inch diameter A325N bolts. Web and flange connections are welded per AISC specifications using three-sixteenth-inch welds on three sides. One-half-inch stiffener plates are provided on both sides of the supporting beam web, sized in width to match the beam flange and spaced according to the AISC manual dimension "k".
