Metal deck sections meet at a roof ridge over a continuous bent plate measuring six by six inches and twelve gauge, supplied by the metal deck manufacturer and butt welded together at splices. The metal deck is secured with one-half-inch diameter puddle welds spaced at a maximum of twelve inches on center. A maximum two-inch clearance gap is maintained at the ridge transition.
