Cold-formed metal wall studs are spaced at sixteen inches on center beneath a sixteen gauge track secured to the underside of the metal deck. Door or window openings up to six feet maximum width are framed with a minimum of one jack stud and one king stud typically on each side. The track web is coped typically at intersections, and connections are made using two number ten sheet metal screws typically at framing junctions.
