A concrete equipment pad sits atop a slab-on-grade with a typical height of four inches unless noted otherwise. Perimeter reinforcing consists of number four bars, while pad reinforcing uses number three bars at twelve inches on center each way anchored with adhesive dowels. For pad heights up to nine inches, number four bars at twelve inches on center each way are used, and for heights up to fourteen inches, number five bars at twelve inches on center each way are required. The assembly maintains a two-inch clearance and a two and three-eighths inch typical dimension from the supporting slab.
