A fifty-four mils thick three-inch by three-inch by four-inch long angle clip connects cold-formed metal stud box headers to wide-flange or hollow structural section steel columns. The angle is secured to the box beam with four number twelve sheet metal screws and fastened to the steel column web or flange with three to six number twelve self-drilling screws depending on header depth. Metal stud tracks matching the fifty-four mils minimum thickness of the box beam are installed where the box header occurs. Connections are strictly prohibited within the protected zone of hollow structural section braces per engineering requirements.
