A hollow structural section column is welded to a steel base plate secured by anchor rods with leveling nuts. The assembly rests over one and a half inches of grout beneath the base plate to transfer loads evenly to the concrete support below. Wedge anchors extend down into the concrete foundation, tied off with standard hex nuts and washers at the top of the base plate. A reference callout directs attention to sheet S7.0 for additional base connection details.
