An HSS 10x4 structural steel column connects to a concrete pilaster using a three-quarter-inch thick steel embed plate secured by four three-quarter-inch headed anchor studs. A diagonal HSS 6x6 member ties into the assembly and is partially omitted for clarity. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size join the steel elements according to the detailed dimensions. The embed plate is positioned one inch back from the face of the pilaster with specific edge distances and anchor spacing.
