A hollow structural section cantilever member extends a maximum of five feet from a vertical support plate. The connection utilizes a one-quarter inch fillet weld at the top interface and a one-eighth inch fillet weld at the bottom interface. The lower weld is specified to be ground smooth. The cantilever assembly connects back to an embedded element with cast-in anchors or headed studs.
